Our first attempt at a 2D platformer.

Wimpy and Scrimpy are gonna be hungry when they wake up from their kip. Get oot there and nab a chicken!

WASD or arrow keys to move, space bar to jump, E to pick up and drop apple

For some reason, in the web version, the jump pads are not rendering in! Just know that they are cute bouncy mushrooms! Or download the desktop version to see the great job our wonderful animator did and enjoy this Short Tail in it's full glory!

This game controls nicely! The platforming feels good, even the harder sections are not that much of a problem thanks to the tight controls. I love the art and animations as well.

Thanks for the feedback! It was actually a bit of a challenge to get him to sit on the platforms properly because he is usually frictionless but we had to add friction only when he stands on the platforms so as to not fall off. Glad you enjoyed it!

I like the artstyle and it is a cool little game but I couldnt get past the Big hedgehog either... The area below him is blocked by an invisble wall and if you drop the apple near the mushrooms that do not render on the Web Version you cant retrieve it. I thought I could get the Hedgehog to move using the apple as a Lure but he doesnt move

Oh lol, maybe its different on the downloaded version but on the web version its a bush but cool little concept I probably wouldve never guessed that since there wasnt any indication you can use the apple as bait

I tried to figure out how to eat the apple or go back to give the baby but I couldn't. And Couldn't go past the big badger. This is awesome work nonetheless

Thanks so much! Really appreciate the feedback! Can't give you any spoilers on here as it is the only slight puzzle mechanic in the game, but I will say have a look around at the environment when down in the tunnel around the big hedgehog!
